Drivers face a £2,500 fine for splashing pedestrians

Drivers face a £2,500 fine for splashing pedestrians : "Using a mobile, sat-nav or MP3 player while at the wheel could send drivers to prison for up to two years.

But they could also be fined up to £2,500 for driving through a puddle and splashing pedestrians or for failing to dip headlights."

Well, Britain is certainly getting tough on drivers. It's hard with the splashing thing. I have never splashed anyone but seeing the water on the road can depend on visibility. All of the other things are in the control of the driver. Over here we need to do something about the number of pedestrians who are being run over and killed. It has been the talk of the town because it's happening far too often and around town we have become wary. It is not just cities, though. We have this rash of drivers who feel the need to run over whatever is in their way. I wish they'd catch them , but it might be easier now we have woken up to it. Too many. Far too many.
