Proton power can work in cancer therapy : "Advocates of proton therapy -- the next generation of radiotherapy -- are rattling political cages and seeking government approvals which would enable them to attract the funding needed to build the facility, estimated to cost $160 million."
Judging by what is said about overseas centres, then proton therapy is successful and although the treatments are dearer then they appear to be successful in managing cancerous conditions. Anything which does that is prolonging the the life of a person who can continue to contribute to our society. The costs may well balance out in the long term. It's the next gen cancer treatment and we need to have it because cancer is disgusting. So cruel and so disgusting.
