'Don't trust kids with male teens' : "But Prof Briggs said the real number could be much higher."
Could be , but is it? I don't want to think teenage boys would pose more of a risk to children they babysit than teenage girls. The article doesn't actually give enough information. I think we need some more facts and figures. There are lots of great kids out there who do a fantastic job as babysitters and child care workers. I should hate to think we are giving young boys a bad name without good reason. I think it's important for boys to learn to care and nurture. If it does bring out a tricky side of them, then that is something we need to look at. If it is their maleness which is making them a risk then we need to know why because it keeps pushing this notion that men cannot nurture and care and that simply isn't true.
