Tears of the Maasai

Frank Coates is an Australian author who spent time in Africa and who was, at one time, was married to a Tanzanian woman. A friend of mine lent this to me to read and I am about a third of the way through. It's a good story. It's well written and draws you in slowly but surely. I have found out about different tribes and different foreign influences in Africa. I like the story and it's fast becoming a book I am always reluctant to put down. If you're interested, you can find a lot more about it here. It's a book which appeals to me because its Australian influences are there too. There is a love of land, culture and humanity.

19/4 PS..truly, it's getting better and better. So culturally rich. So moving.
