The Advertiser: Asylum seeker offered visa hope :
"The regional Victorian city of Ballarat wants to adopt Edriess Abdul Rahman al-Saleh, guaranteeing him a job and a home if he is granted a visa.
The asylum seeker made headlines in 2003 when the Federal Government spent $24,000 trying to deport him to his parents' birthplace of Sudan."
Why , oh why would you want to deport someone back to the Sudan? Don't our politicians read the news? I rest my case about it being impossible to undermine our migration system. Maybe that's what we have to do, adopt them one at a time. It's the sort of thing Australians would do!
