"INDIVIDUAL teachers and schools who turn out high-achieving students will receive cash bonuses directly from the federal Government under a plan that could help keep the best teachers in public schools."

This is so disgusting. Absolutely reprehensible. We need to get some high achieving kids to attend school first. So many kids seem to be around the place no matter when or where.I am so glad I went to school where we could get an education and our teachers cared about how much we knew. But we had to be there and we had to attend AND we had to put up with the ghastly teachers as well. It was character building. School was about education, not money and I bet Ms Bishop , too, had teachers who taught her well. I actually think Ms Bishop needs to visit a lot of schools before she starts to think whats best for everyone. Like hospitals the system is very complex and pretending to know without any form of consultation whatsoever is a very odd way to govern.
