Noumea

The sunshine, the blue skies. What a treat. Not quite as busy as Glenelg here, but the hotels, high rise appartments and shops are not the dominant feature in Noumea. It is the landscape and the ocean. They are still building and redeveloping even as I blog, but they have a canny knack of letting nature predominate inspite of the massive size of some of the buildings. And I could just wander around here as I wished. The French were all out walking, jogging ,wind surfing and then looking incredibly fit in their cycling outfits. They are very fit!! I was happy to doddle along and enjoy the view!
