After four years, the Murray opens its mouth again to the sea | :
"The dredges have operated non-stop 24 hours a day, seven days a week, though the schedule was cut by 30 per cent in March after satellite images showed the sand movement was slowing and the channels were taking shape."
Yes!!! We have finally got the Murray Mouth open and although we shall have to be careful in the mouth area still , we have at least got the Murray flowing again. What fantastic news and what a great reward for everyone who has done their bit to save the Murray. We do need to look at the other issues that's created but they will be resolved. A non flowing Murray was just downright wrong and the Coorong depends on the water flows. I am so happy! Now we can go about our Murrray River projects with a sense of accomplishment knowing that a team effort has turned us around. I have said before - tell us what to do and we will do it. Give us a good plan and we all do our bit in SA. It's such a great sign.
