Amazing Grace

The Advertiser: Robot joins cancer fight :

"The Australian-made robot, known as Grace and worth $500,000, took 18 months to create and is the only one of its type in the world.

With 98 per cent accuracy, it can also detect bleeding in the bowel at a much earlier stage than current testing, reducing the need for colonoscopies."

I have a feeling this robot will be renamed Amazing Grace and even though it's a well worn cliche, there is nothing cliche about Grace's new purpose and work. Apart from the obvious, a friendly robot in that kind of circumstance would take some of the pain and worry out of the situation. In terms of the lives she will save, Grace is bound to become a hit. I love these kinds of robot stories.
