G-8 Leaders Stress Concern For World's Poorest

G-8 Leaders Stress Concern For World's Poorest -- 07/20/2001:

"Although protestors are campaigning on a broad range of issues, from debt relief to action against AIDS to the environment, the overriding sentiment is that the policies of rich nations and corporations are condemning the developing world to continuing poverty.

In a clear attempt to address some of these concerns, organizers of the summit have built an agenda intended to show a desire to humanize globalization."

This was in 2001 and the world has been held in a holding pattern. Nothing has changed. So besides saying things, what have the world leader's done? What has the G8 actually accomplished? Mr Bush was saying the free trade agreements would help the poor nations. Have they? I want a list. I want to see what we have done because as far as I can tell people are still dying of hunger and there is no sign of some nations getting on their feet let alone having the the energy to create something to trade.
