Bus belts 'not way to go'

The Advertiser: Bus belts 'not way to go':

"Road Safety Advisory Council chairman Sir Eric Neal said it would cost a minimum $70 million to fit belts to all 300 Education Department buses.

Last month, 11 children aged six to 15 were taken to hospital after a car collided with a school bus near Kimba, while in December, a Riverland bus smash injured 17 students from Ashford Special School along with their bus driver."

Seatbelts save lives. Full stop , end of story. It's what we know and what we endorse. Let us have something like the SIDS or dafsodil or breast cancer campaigns which will help us fundraise if necessary.
