Biofuels 'crime against humanity'

Biofuels 'crime against humanity': "Within that time, according to Mr Ziegler, technological advances would enable the use of agricultural waste, such as corn cobs and banana leaves, rather than crops themselves to produce fuel."

Mr. Ziegler has made a very good point and the implications of food sources, using agricultural land and concentrating energies and money into mechanical fuel rather than human fuel does has implications of a very sever nature and we need to go back to the drawing board. I didn't really think about it and I feel embarrassed now. It's good we have people like Mr. Ziegler who can paint a different picture. We are all so intent on cutting carbon and reducing fuel costs we have neglected to look at the big picture. We need to think this out more carefully.
