Resource-hungry China swoops on Africa

Resource-hungry China swoops on Africa :

"The seriousness of China's intentions is particularly evident in Angola, where a line of credit from China's export bank has led to railway repair, road building, office construction, a fibre-optic network stretching for more than 160 kilometres, and a stake in oil exploration in shallow waters off the coast. Private companies have won dozens of contracts in Angola."

The heading of this article is unbelievable! What have other nations been doing in Australia? What have we been doing in Indonesia? What was Britain doing in Africa and India and what were the explorers doing? I thought it was developing trade, developing nations. What is China doing? Fixing some of the woes in Africa. Trading. Developing. Thank heavens someone is. If you don't like it, get in there and do some rail fixing, road building and resource development of your own. It's called free trade. Honestly...no wonder we get a bad name.
