Radioactive waste

Dump plans don't include SA

"The Government source said the states had themselves to blame because they had opposed establishment of any radioactive waste repositories within their borders. Last year, the Rann Government took court action to defeat efforts to establish dumps in the Far North."

Commonwealth radioactive waste will go into the Commonwealth radioactive waste dump which looks like it might be in the Northern Territory. It won't be us because Mr. Rann took court action. The other states don't want it and the NT doesn't want it and, according to this article, it won't go overseas. So...the Commonwealth dump is the Commonwealth's dump and the states have to make their own dumps now because we have been so difficult. Isn't the Commonwealth of Australia made up of all the states?? Where are their heads? Seriously , though, where's a good place to stash radioactive waste?
