Excuse me. With all due respect, these are real, living people we are talking about. They are not so many lumps of wood, nor piles of organic matter affected by global warming. They are people whose nations are being affected by global warming and we are contributors to that situation. We may not speak about them like this. Maybe we shoudl speak TO them. Maybe these people want to dicuss the issues we have dealt to them. Maybe they have their own thoughts and feelings. We need to participate in a dicussion with the affected islanders and look at how we might help them. They may not want to come here. Probably not when we speak about them in such a fashion. I am embarrassed.
