"Officers called to the flat in Dresden, in eastern Germany, found the mummified body of the 75-year-old woman, who had apparently died of natural causes, lying in the couple's bed."

That is so sad. Either he is so traumatised she died or too sick to do anything about it. Poor man. It would be interesting to know the story behind this. I am surprised no family members or friends were aware of it. Reminds me of a little old lady who lived in a village near here and she used to keep her husband's ashes in an HP sauce bottle on the kitchen table so that he was always with her and because he had loved HP sauce. Then my friend's mother whose husband died 3 years ago. She sleeps with his hat every night. Some people are just so devoted to each other.
