Sharks
Apparently we have had more sharks off our Adelaide coast recently than we have had in the last 10 years. Over the last few weeks we have had freqent visits and today there are two...one very south of the city and one closer to our popular swimming beaches. Uni SA has sponsored another spotter plane to go up on a regular basis along with the other one so we have a decent chance of keeping ourselves safe. More people are going to be using the electronic devices which dissuade sharks if they go further off the beaches. The sharks must be hungry. Fishing out their food is probably not one of our better ideas. We are much mor alert though and we have planes in place which will help enormously. The siren on the Uni SA one is unmistakeable. With the hot weather approaching it's good to know we have some chance of being warned and when you hear the reports on the news it makes you feel safer. We need to get the bigger fish back into the ocean so they are not tempted by us.
