We need GPs but one says he has to leave

The Advertiser: We need GPs but one says he has to leave :

"At a time when the state is critically short of doctors, Dr Lincoln, 36, from Wattle Park, is going to the UK to get a qualification he hopes will get him a Medicare provider number in Australia."

Our doctors going to England? Then can we recruit them to come back here? Theis doctor is going to the UK to get a qualification so he can register to bill Medicare. We do have to have trained doctors. We do have to have doctors with sufficient training and they do need to be able to access the training here. All the GPs I have known have done extra training as they have continued their practice. They have all been great doctors because of their knowledge and their capacity to deal with people and medical issues. I have valued them because I can talk anything through with them because they have a broad knowledge base and a sensible approach. It then becomes a bonus they heal as well! It's about inspiring confidence and that comes from experience and knowledge...and knowing your community.
