Email free day

Police chief's plea over e-mails:

"The request by Roger Baker to make one day a week e-mail free was posted on the force's intranet site on Friday."

Wednesday will be an email free day...except in an emergency. When you get a thing like that, you then undermine your edict. We managed an emergency before emails and we now have mobiles. This new chief constable sounds great. A man of action with a sense of humour. He is telling criminals to bring their toothbrush because they won't be going home. If you read this piece, since he was installed in July, he has been a busy man in the law and order department, but clearly his focus is human beings, so I suspect he will succeed very well. He understands humans. Yes, let's all have an email free day! Put back the balance.
