1 million ordered to evacuate as hurricane approaches.

1 million ordered to evacuate as hurricane approaches.:

"Over a million people along the Gulf coast in western Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana were told to evacuate to safer ground."

Hurricane Dennis has been smashing its way across Haiti, Cuba, the Gulf of Mexico and people have been withstanding its ferocity, presumably those, too, imprisoned in Guantanomo Bay at the mercy of the elements as well as everything else. But, where on earth do you evacuate a million people to? I hate news articles which don't give me the obvious details (because I want to know them!!). A million people is a LOT of people. It says to safer ground. Well, lovely. Where do you house a million people in a hurry? That is incredible. Poor people. Poor ordinary folk again just managing what's thrown at them. Everyone pitching in. The world may be full of crap, but the human spirit is unsinkable and so worth praising. If we don't give ourselves a big clap on the back as a world for withstanding all this incessant crap dealt to us ...we are silly. The whole planet needs to kick up its heels and party hard. Let's make a date now...
