Top price

Meet the $134 hamburger :

"A LONDON restaurant is selling hamburgers made of New Zealand beef for $134 each."

WHY??? I am so glad I live on this side of the planet. Australians have a very healthy attitude to pricing. They will pay for good quality. They will pay for something worthwhile, but an Australian will never pay too much. We just won't buy things if we think they cost too much and $134 dollars for a hamburger , even a superior quality one, is too much. In some respects we have a bizarre attitude to pricing because we decide what we think a reasonable price is and manufacturers and marketers can talk to us until they are blue in the face and we just won't pay what they say is reasonable. The DVD uptake here was slow for that reason and it's hard to sell bread and dog food here if you don't get the right price.
