Ain't that the truth? Anyone who has been through the scourge of cancer will know that Patrick Swayze has done it with honesty, dignity and calm courage. I am so very sorry it has come to this. He and his film Dirty Dancing have meant a lot to a lot of people and it will always be one of my favourite films. My Mum, who was fighting lymphoma at the time I took her to see Ghosts, was so moved and deeply touched by the film. It meant a lot to her. And that is the power of Patrick Swayze. He means a lot to people. His films may not be profound but they have a capacity to reach inside and have a profound impact on the emotions of people. I hope this part of his life will allow him to see just how much he has helped others and just how much we shall quietly think of him now.
