Negative Media Images

I had to laugh on the way to work this morning. They were talking on the radio of shifting the doomsday sayers elsewhere and just grabbing a nice red and some good freinds and taking it from there. It just sounded funny but the truth is, those guys on the radio were reflecting where we are all at. The media seems to be stuck in the Bush/Blair/Howard era of negative information, fear mongering, gloom and doom. We cannot live like that and we decided that about the time England had the guts to vote out Blair. We were over this negative image of everything. We are sick of anorexic models, explosions and destruction, extreme climate, financial doom, gangs, endless extreme crime shows about bizarre and vile crimes. Feeding us that lot cannot be doing us any good. So we have been planning our own events, redirecting our energies, tuning out if we have to and doing what we can to overcome some of the destructive trends in our society. We have joined together to make the world a better place but the media is trailing by miles. 'Bout time they livened themselves up and got with the programme. We must be the only era which has had to look at how to make people happy. Sad!!
