I rest my case. The world is making it simple to learn languages because online you can gather communities of native speakers to help those trying to learn. The Oz Traveller site I blogged about yesterday had some lovely free sites to help you learn languages, but the trend now is to get the online communities together to create the learning environment for languages. They are there because they are needed in 2008 and beyond. They are there because they will make money since we need these infopreneurial and linguistic skills to drive our civilisation forward.
