Research shows why Aussies don't like true blue food

Research shows why Aussies don't like true blue food: "But Ms Ramsden said recent research revealed many native foods had high levels of antioxidants and it's hoped that an emerging interest in more adventurous eating might also change the menus of many Australians."

A lot of people have eaten the protein versions of our local fauna but are less familiar with the herbs and spices. Eucalyptus has been well used for colds and washing, but other things like wattle seeds and lemon myrtle are less familiar and lemon myrtle tends to be tied to cosmetics in our head. It is a headset thing. Some people just plain wouldn't eat our native animals because they love them. Some wouldn't eat them because they worry about how they would taste. it is something we could tackle as an education campaign because lots of our local foods and flavours are lovely and we are lucky we have had people concentrating these tastes into marketable products. I just think we need to move ahead on this because much of this food is very good for us!
