Emails crushing productivity at work

Emails crushing productivity at work: "THE average employee is productive at work for just four hours a day due to a flood of disruptive emails and phone calls, according to a new study."

Yes, technology can really invade our space and slow us down. Tell me about it. The best calls are the ones about the person sending you an email which you haven't replied to. People are very NOW and want everything done NOW. No conception of what your job might actually be and emails and phonecalls are often very self indulgent and an attempt to bypass the system. It will have to be dealt with because we can't deal with it all. That is a fact. There should be a pleasure factor in work but basically it's about routine garbage generated by technology. If you are getting up in the morning and groaning and thinking you hate work...consider the reason and it is abound to be about this garbage which just stops you from doing the job for which you are skilled and which you enjoy.
