Caution urged in Vic storm clean-up

Caution urged in Vic storm clean-up : "'Worksafe says take extreme care, be careful and make sure you've got the right gear and protective gear, like goggles and gloves.'"

Yes, cleaning up after a storm is something which needs to be thought about and planned. people want to get back to normal and may not consider safety. It's good this article has appeared. We had damage around the traps in Adelaide too but not as bad as Victoria nor Tasmania. That one day did a lot of damage. I was driving around fallen tree branches all the way to work. Neighbours have lost a big front tree which has fallen on their front garden and house. The rest of us have been out there picking up bits of gum tree and branches and the broken bits of dead tree branches. It has taken me a few hours but the weather has improved so it's not unpleasant work and it means we are all being out there operating as a community. The new neighbours across the road are putting us to shame because what was a nice house is now as clean as a new pin and totally tidy! We've cleaned up after the storm and now we have to lift our game and get out there to polish the dustbowl of summer.
