Mandela's Elders begin peace mission: "'We are here in Sudan because we want to listen to the voices of those who have not been heard and want to explore ways that we can lend our own voices to peace'."
Nelson Mandela is always thinking. Always finding ways of uniting our world and what better way in a tribal situation than to send Elders. They will be meeting President Omar al-Beshir. It is good to see that Jimmy Carter is one of the Elders. There are American presidents who fight hard for peace...once they leave office, and their contributions to bringing better conditions to our planet are not small. Desmond Tutu is a legend, like Nelson Mandela. It would be good to know who is on this team...but if they are approaching the Sudanese as Elders they have some chance of influencing the situation for the better. I hope so.
