Hicks' lawyer receives award for hard work

Hicks' lawyer receives award for hard work : "Major Mori was presented with a civil justice award by the Australian Lawyers Alliance at their national conference in Hobart today."

Couldn't be more deserving and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. He sees it as having done his job and yes, there is a school of thought that would argue you should not be thanked for doing your job. Major Mori worked hard on behalf of David Hicks' rights and, by default, the rights of our citizens. He was working for one of our citizens when our government was silent. He was doing his job, but he did it very well and very effectively. Major Mori is a decent human being with integrity who is skilled in his job . I am glad his work on our behalf has been formally recognised because he has allowed our justice to prevail. At one stage he was standing there alone. He does not lack courage.
