AdelaideNow... 7 held as drug ring smashed: "'This investigation is a further example of the ability of SAPOL to effectively investigate, disrupt and prosecute those involved in drug offences,' he said."
There was a turning point a few months back where we decided enough was enough and we were going to unite and get rid of these drugs because it was affecting all of us. It was harming our young, disrupting our living, creating break ins, havoc...some really unpleasant stuff. We decided to confront it and because we have , the police are more confident and they have been working hard on our behalf to get to the bottom of the networks. The discoveries are only making it so clear just how much it has spread and how deeply embedded it is . Every group we break, every house we find is helping to stop this. Our children have a chance just to live. We are saying, sorry, we don't want this and people are getting a bit more peace of mind. Yes, it's all money driven but the cost to us has been huge and you can start to see why...so many people are involved and we are surrounded by labs and hydroponics and they have got good at it. We need to stay alert because there are fewer and fewer poor souls on the street and more and more walkers and happy people. This may well be the land of opportunity but it shouldn't be the land of opportunism. I thank the police for being so persistent.
