Yes, some pedigrees are worth a fortune, as the article indicates, so I suppose others do feel entitled to your pet. Mine is a bitsa from the RSPCA and quite priceless. It's horrible to think people would steal pets. Pets are smarter than they think though. They don't transfer their loyalties as easy as you think. My dog has one of those chips and ear tattoos to mark her and I appreciate the RSPCA making that a part of the deal. I suppose really wicked people would replace the chips too. Sad, sad world we live in when we think their property is ours by right.
