Aussies know drug risks but do it anyway : "Researchers from the ORYGEN Research Centre at the University of Melbourne said this proved tha 'knowledge does not translate into behaviour'', and shows new campaign strategies are needed to bring rates down."
Why would they bother? If it is not affecting them now and if they are not the ones taking responsibility for what occurs...meh! The in the moment, who cares, consequences generation. Options. They will throw at each other, if anything happens, well, you knew , you had the choice. Bad choices. In the meantime it does not apply to them. If they are okay and they are not responsible, so what? Everyone else is picking up after them and some of the consequences are too far away. Cake and eat it. Maybe it needs to be brought closer to home. Even if their friends die as a result of drugs and alcohol abuse they mourn them loudly and lovingly but then carry on because it wasn't them and that person knew the consequences . Bad luck, heh?
