APEC attire creates fashion headache

APEC attire creates fashion headache : "'We really don't have a national costume,' Australian Fashion Week founder Simon Locke said."
Casual clothing at this time of the year is jeans ,sweatshirts and thongs or sneakers. Casual attire in summer is a tank top, shorts and thongs. Always the sunnies...and MP3 player. Corporate dress is altogether another matter and our corporate people dress well. Really well. Charcoal or grey suits, a nice, good quality shirt of good quality material, usually a tastefully striking tie and the mandatory mobile. Cardigans and waistcoats are not favoured. Our national dress is beachware. Our corporate dress is very trendy business wear. Truth is, we do not believe that clothes maketh the man but we are conservative. How you dress is not as important as what your eyes say.
