Work place injuries out of control

AdelaideNow... Work place injuries out of control: "'Often we have had to prosecute employers with otherwise good safety records because they allowed complacency to dominate their attitude to workplace safety with tragic results.'"
If the workplaces have exemplary work safety records then it may not be complacency. Adelaide has certainly been very odd this last week. Lots of people are sick. Lots of people are stressed and lots of people are plain not coping. People are also going to work sick. The weather has changed dramatically. The travelling to work has been tricky. All sorts of things are affecting us and there has been a sense of people being disturbed. Quite what has disturbed them is not clear. There are things which are affecting us and we need to look at that. The accidents are a symptom and the erratic behaviour is another. We are not ourselves. We've hit the wall.
