Emergency services kept busy by Adelaide wind and rain.

Emergency services kept busy by Adelaide wind and rain. : "A house has lost roofing and emergency services have dealt with fallen trees and power lines at Somerton Park, Hallett Cove, Port Willunga, Hawthorndene and Henley Beach."

Victoria is worse. The weather machine has whipped up some really heavy winter weather today and there have been all osrts of mishaps and accidents. I confess the accident I passed was really well marked and managed by the police. Traffic slow down was kept to a minimum and the police had really thought out how to warn us and protect us as we went through. But, we still have the nutters who slam their cars in and out of the traffic because it makes a good squeal with the tyres on a wet road...and then they forget the car can keep sliding or they distract themselves with the skewing of the car and fail to get their breaks on because the traffic has had to slow or stop. It's mad. They are mad. We were all commenting on the weathe today. It really was heavy duty...but then we did have the long, hot, dry balmy days for too long and got spoiled. A lot of people got up late today as if in protest. Hopefully they are over it by tomorrow.
