Coalition must 'work harder' amid opinion poll slump.

Coalition must 'work harder' amid opinion poll slump. : "'[If we] show people the vision out of the front of the bus, [we] give people the reason to stay on the bus for another three years.'"

Okay, I'll play the bus game. If we're on the bus it's about time we got off because we are not going anywhere. Backwards? We have been looking out the back for too long. Yes, I think it'd be nice to get a view from the front. Certainly better than looking like the back end of a bus. Now, ditch the metaphor and come to terms with what we need. Not what we want. We do need vision. More than that we are all going to have to work hard to return to the country that used to discuss issues. For too long now we have been told and spoon fed what is good for our own good. And it sounds as bad as that last sentence and is about as well thought out. Time to liven up. Time to value thought, debate, discussion, opinion and the sorts of hearty exchanges we had. Time to get things on the table and look at them properly instead of yet another quick fix which falls adrift because people don't actually look at things like repercussions, ramifications and consequences. Deep thought instead of polly speak. Proper, considered thinking instead of the smart alek pot shot which only does us harm because we are taking out people we all need. No debate, no thought, no discussion and we rattle around in this empty land of ours. We all need to work hard at thinking and discussing. Enough of the process and protocol and let's get back to people and issues.
