Bush vows to rebuild tornado-ravaged town

AdelaideNow... Bush vows to rebuild tornado-ravaged town: "US President George W. Bush vowed to make available federal aid to rebuild the tornado-ravaged town of Greensburg, Kansas, as US weather forecasters warned today that more deadly twisters are possible across the American heartland."

Well, yes, but I heard from a friend of mine in Kansas who has decided to move his family out of there, that the tornadoes have been coming so often people are becoming desensitised and numb. There are so frequent. What's the point of rebuilding if it's just going to get trashed again? It's a bit hard to come to grips with. Certainly the people need all the help and support they can get, but doing something about the number and frequency of the tornadoes is the thing. That is the real issue which needs to be addressed and quite how you do that would have to be in the hands of the experts. The whole pattern of the weather needs to be changed! Maybe people need to be moved somehwere safe and if you have lived in Kansas and it's the place you love, what do you do? Very tricky stuff this.
