NZ fishermen haul in '450kg' squid. : "Local media said early estimates put the squid at 10 metres in length and weighing 450 kilograms, which is 150 kilograms heavier than the next biggest specimen found."
That is a big squid!! They worked for 2 hours to get the squid onto the boat with as little damage as possible. I bet it looks disgusting! 10 metres is a big squid and these can be 12-14 metres. It will be preserved and studied...rather them than me, but it's astounding all the same.
