When you know you are doing harm, you stop it, right? So why wouldn't you ? It simply does not make sense. We don't want people to beat their children. We don't want people to blow things up, we don't want people to hurt us. Why would we keep beating up the planet?? Why would we want to lose places under water? Why would we want floods and hurricanes and cyclones and snow at the wrong time? No water??? As adaptable as we can be why would we want to be living in constant chaos?? Time to change.
