Tanzanian minister named UN deputy

Tanzanian minister named UN deputy. : "Mr Ban called Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete to inform him of his choice, and spokesman Premi Kibanga says the President was 'very happy and proud' to hear of the appointment."

Me too. Not just because she is a woman, although I think it's important for men and women to share the leadership of our planet. You have to get the right person for the job and hopefully the Tanzanian Foreign Minister, Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro, will be able to show her competence as the UN deputy. I am happy and proud because I have a sponsored child in Tanzania and I know what this will mean to him when I tell him. He was so excited when I told him of the Tanzanian athletes who were competing in the Olympic Games. He really likes to know I know about his people and his country. He gets just as excited when I send him pictures of our Australian wildlife. It is so important for us all to be heard and for us all to share and the UN should be composed in a way where all countries can be heard and all voices are one.
