Concern at overuse of happy pills in children : "Medicare Australia figures from the 2005-06 financial year reveal 75,500 prescriptions for antidepressants were written for children under 15, with a further 262,000 for youths aged 15 to 20. In NSW alone, 23,214 scripts were written in the under-14 age group, with 76,234 in the 15-20 age group."
What is wrong with our country? Our lifestyle? Our parenting? Add this to the anorexia , the road accidents, the party drug fall out, the drinking...what on earth is going on? It pays to advertise, but not when your young people are this messed up. Our nurturing skills are totally up the creek. Why is that? There is something fundamentally wrong here.
