Parasite turns women into 'sex kittens' :
"Human infection generally occurs when people eat raw or undercooked meat that has cysts containing the parasite, or accidentally ingest some of the parasite's eggs excreted by an infected cat."
Erk!!! As interesting and bizarre as the findings may be...erk!!! Can't we test for the parasite in meat before we serve or sell it??! What happened to food hygiene? It may well have a different impact on men and women but it's not safe for pregnant women and can be serious for people with weakened immune systems. Another study has also found it increased the capacity to have a car accident. I understand that parasites are easy to pick up just from travelling to different places and sometimes they lay dormant in the human system, but I truly think we need to get some decent capacity to detect these things with scans or whatever and maybe have a medicine we can take to make sure we do not have them.If 8 million Australians are infected then we need to have a treatment programme. If we are doing no better in developed countries then it doesn't really recommend our practices , does it?
