Ram-raid children destined for life of crime :
"His comments follow the release of figures from an operation targeting ram raids, showing that of 269 offenders caught last financial year, 95 per cent had previous convictions.
Many of these criminals were children."
What is wrong with our parenting? It's true. It will be very difficult to re educate these chidren if they are that case hardened at 13. I think we need to be a bit more honest about how useless we have become at developing functional families and we need to have a long, hard look at what is going on. It is not most people but because there has been a shift to money, money, money, location, location ,location, lifestyle, lifestyle, lifestyle...then the resultant effect is unsupervised and unguided children . I guess it's interesting to see when children direct themselves, they become brutal and aggressive. If there is no firm, adult input they are just destructive forces and will not be able to be easily rehabilitated. I guess we'd better get the experts together and I guess we'd better reel the kids in because it is making life hard for all of us. If we put economic issues ahead of social issues...this is the result. Money doesn't buy you happiness and harmony.
