Hit run driver leaves licence behind :
"Police said the driver freed the car and drove off leaving behind the car's bumper bar"
Well, there you go. All that quick thinking gone to waste. Similar thing happened here a few years back when the drunken teenagers crashed into my tree, sped the wheels and upended my garden and then got their car exhaust somehow jammed in my drive way. Enough time to get the police and have the neighbours come out so they realised they couldn't leave. The driver was so drunk he just could not walk and the other guy was nice enough, but how mad...they had lost control on the corner as did the other teenager who ploughed into my neighbour's verandah last year. Heels on wheels need to stop.
