Rumsfeld 'in deep denial' over Iraq.

Rumsfeld 'in deep denial' over Iraq. :

"Pentagon insider Kenneth Adelman has told The New Yorker magazine that resigning US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has been in 'deep, deep denial' about the status of the war in Iraq."

Aren't we all? Inspite of it being an unwarranted invasion of a country doing us no harm, inspite of the daily death toll, inspite of the blood bath, we have all let it go on day after tragic day. Life after loss of life. I believe a president was elected on the basis of pulling troups out of Vietnam. I truly hope America will find the strength to set the picture straight and stop its own terrible loss of life and its own constant pouring of funds into something which is such a mess. All that money could be used for their own benefit and prosperity. Their own programmes at home. As much as I do not like what Mr. Rumsfeld did and what he represents, I should hate to think he will be the only one to carry the can. It was never going to be a cakewalk and he was never going to have his cake and eat it...but he was part of a team and had authority through that team. The hope in this is that the American people are starting to sort it all out, as are we.
