A bolt falling off a plane in flight might be rare but it really ought not happen. Losing bits off the plane as you fly is very shoddy maintenance!! Scary. It's fantastic the guy who heard it fall on his roof actually retrieved it and realised it had to be acted upon. It might have dropped in the ocean or forest and it might have dropped where peopple would not have realised its significance. Given planes run on time tables , the plane will be tracked down, but up there for thinking, Mr. Margiotta.
