AdelaideNow... Three stars stripped from top SA restaurants

AdelaideNow... Three stars stripped from top SA restaurants:

"The ratings were an example of eastern state magazines becoming increasingly parochial, Restaurant and Catering SA's chief Sally Neville said."

Touché!! Makes a change . We were always being called parochial. As South Australians we shall have a deadset honest look about what this loss or drop in international ratings might mean. I find it very odd since I have seen reviews of both these restaurants elsewhere and they were certainly spoken of highly and in glowing terms. You have to eat there. You have to have interantional friends who eat there. We combine ease of atmosphere with good food and any international guests I have had are always impressed with Adelaide they want and they can eat anywhere. They like Adelaide because the food and service are good and it's about making people feel comfortable . The restaurants here are special. Not fake. No one is made to feel ill at ease and the the food shows flair and care. The three restaurants mentioned will understanably be feeling upset. I can only say...look at who dines there and listen to what they say. There's a hotel I stay in overseas which doesn't have the stars, but it has the reputation and the accolades ...because it's about service, security and genuine care for overseas guests. It's home away from home and they pride themselves in that. Format hotels and standardisation are becoming tiresome...as is show pony stuff. I think we just need to keep the picture straight !!
