US 'planning to bomb Iran'

US 'planning to bomb Iran' :
"'There are very strong sentiments within the military against brandishing nuclear weapons against other countries,' the magazine quotes the Pentagon adviser as saying.

The adviser is quoted as saying: 'If we go (bomb Iran), the southern half of Iraq will light up like a candle.'"

Who cares, just bomb them too while you are there.

This former senior intelligence officier obviously cares about what his country is becoming involved in and the impact it might cause. When America trots out the weaponry there is not much we can do except watch everyone bleed and suffer for years after. It is not the Americans. So many Americans want their country to be a part of resolutions in the same way that other countries are. You get what you are prepared to accept and you can't argue with nuclear weapons and it's making the whole rest of the world unable to do anything. Isn't that why we had the anti nuclear weapons proliferation treaty? We want a world where we can negotiate and, okay, we have all been waiting for the US to go into Iran, no surprises there, but this is 2006. Have we learned nothing?
