Half of defence munitions 'useless' :

"THE Defence Department has admitted that around half the stock of bombs, missiles and other ammunition it holds is not serviceable.

And at least $300 million worth of the problem ordnance cannot be fixed, the department has told the Auditor-General's office."

I am not actually sorry we cannot bomb peole. I actually find it really horrible we stock such things, but then I am called naive. I think if you don't have weapons you can hurt others and if you don't have big weapons you cannot do wholesale damage. I think we are awful for having these things.

But why are our weapons useless or not serviceable and what is the matter with us? Is it because we are buying rubbish or faulty goods? Who is spending vast quantities of money on rubbish? I can't believe the amount of money we are spending to try and kill other people....and if we don't know how to purchase and maintain the stuff, why spend the money???
