Singapore accedes to the Kyoto Protocol.

Singapore accedes to the Kyoto Protocol. :

"The city-state submitted its agreement to adhere to the protocol to the United Nations (UN) secretary-general in New York on April 12, and the protocol will be effective for Singapore 90 days later, the Ministry says in a statement.

Countries that ratify the Kyoto Protocol commit to reducing their emissions of carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases in a bid to slash pollution and address climate change concerns."

Well done. Better late than never and I wish our government would meet our wishes in that regard, too. Australians wish to be party to the Kyoto Protocol and our elected government is not listening. Democracy in action.
